About Gavin Sumrall

Gavin Sumrall is an award-winning singer-songwriter based in Northwest Arkansas who began playing solo shows in July of 2021.

After two years of performing music and working full time, Gavin made the move to becoming a full time musician and released his first song, She Brings my Drunk Ass Home, which he produced, wrote, recorded, and mastered all in his home office! Since then he has played hundreds of shows across Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Alabama, and many other places!

In April of 2023, Gavin competed and won the first ever Bentonville’s Got Talent competition, beating out many other talented musicians and performers in the process. Following the exciting victory and the buzz surrounding, Gavin started his first band, Gavin Sumrall & The Varsity that is now performing all over Arkansas and surrounding states.

Gavin has played both solo and full band shows at venues like the historic Fox Theatre, Tin Roof (Fayetteville, Memphis, Kansas City, Birmingham), JJ’s Grill, The Rhinestone Saloon (Fort Worth, TX), and events for groups like No Stomach for Cancer, Downtown Bentonville Inc, the City of Bentonville, the City of Fayetteville and many more.

ABOUT THE BAND

  • Lead Guitar

Adrian Rodriguez is a native to Northwest Arkansas and has been a professional musician for over 20 years.

As a child he was fascinated with musical instruments and began performing and playing with other artists as a teen.

Adrian spends his time helping other musicians reach their goals, whether they're looking to hone their skills at home, play live, or record their own music.

Adrian and his wife, Cherri Rodriguez, founded an NWA nonprofit called The Sound Collaborative—a community-funded organization for musicians of all genres and skill levels to play, record, rehearse, and collaborate!

He is also the owner—and sole instructor—of Sonido Guitar Studio, a lesson studio in downtown Rogers where he gives both guitar and drum lessons to students of all ages.

  • Bass

Born to the busy city streets of Fort Worth Michael grew up hard, fast and mean. A musician of 15 years, Michael is a hustler and a rebel without a cause. A loose cannon who doesn't play by the rules. He learned bass quickly to join Gavin and help stick it to the man and fight the power.

  • Drums

Mark Sevier has spent over 20 years behind the drums, finding joy in the rhythm of a wide range of musical styles, from rock and blues to country. Based in Northwest Arkansas, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with national acts like Framing Hanley, Drowning Pool, and Gavin DeGraw.

Mark’s love for music is reflected in his dedication to honing his craft and creating an engaging experience for audiences. He believes in the power of collaboration and thrives in the diverse musical community around him. Always eager to learn and grow, Mark continues to embrace new opportunities and share his passion for drumming with others.
